NARSA Awards



NARSA recognizes members who have greatly impacted the cooling systems industry and/or made great contributions to our association.

Hall of Fame: The NARSA Cooling Systems Hall of Fame Award was established as the organization’s highest recognition of exceptional service to the association, to industry and to society by members. The award is made to an individual.

Lifetime Achievement Award:  Presented to an individual whose distinguished record of professional achievements and accomplishments has spanned decades and advanced the stature of the heat transfer industry.

Industry Award: Presented to member companies for service to NARSA and the industry by hosting the Heavy-Duty Spring Conference and supporting the association's mission of One Idea, One Opportunity, and One Connection.

Distinguished Service Award: In recognition of continued service and achievements to NARSA, the industry and/or people in general which have resulted in a better life for all. Recipients could be individuals, companies or organizations.

International Award:  Presented in recognition and gratitude for actions which have resulted in NARSA's international presence and for hosting the International Tour.

Martin Newell to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

At the upcoming 2026 Spring Conference in Minnesota, Martin Newell of Active Radiator will receive NARSA’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This honor is presented to an individual whose distinguished record of professional achievements and accomplishments has spanned decades and advanced the stature of the heat transfer industry.

Pat O’Connor Inducted into Hall of Fame

Longtime NARSA member Pat O’Connor was inducted into the Cooling Systems Hall of Fame during the 2023 Spring Conference in Rochester, New York on Friday, April 28. The Hall of Fame is considered the highest distinction within NARSA/IDEA.

David Bienvenu Inducted into Hall of Fame

Longtime NARSA member David Bienvenu was inducted into the Cooling Systems Service Hall of Fame on Friday, May 6 in Houston, Texas during the 2022 Spring Conference. There is no higher honor in our industry than to be inducted into the Cooling Systems Service Hall of Fame.
